Status; This plant is endangered in it's natural habitat.
Notes; Horticulture potential; This dense, evergreen, perennial bush can reach to be a 6' X 6'. This plant specimen is salt and drought tolerant, although it is versatile enough to be well suited for difficult coastal landscapes near the ocean as well as fresh water brackish wetland.
Margaret Barwick brought a cutting from Cayman Brac to Grand Cayman where she had it propagated. This native plant is now cultivated and integrated in our landscapes to be enjoyed in many gardens as a low manicured hedges or free style like on this picture.
